As most of you know, Jim Spencer secured us a booth at the ManUP event Dec 14. The event ran from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The event turned out to be a very good event. In fact, we didn't just steel the show, we WERE the show. I took pictures throughout the event, one of our booth and one of other booths, so you decide. (Sorry the pictures are so blurry)

As you can see in the last photo, most others have already packed up and left (even after being asked not to tear down until 4:00
We had a good showing and a huge thanks to everyone that participated!
We had 1 Orian and 2 Rostock MAX 3D printers, a RotoMAAK, The PumpkinBOT, a CNC router, 2 Robots, and a quad to show off. Of course the 3D printers took the show but more importantly we gained a lot of valuable interest in the Maker Space. Big shout out to Phil, Mark, and someone (sorry forgot his name) that came with Mark, and Alex for working the crowd. You guys are great PR.
Phil's Robot and my new Robot, the CC-1 had their first Robot war, which also drew lots of attention. Phillip tried to grab my power cord with his gripper but was unable to pull the plug and my Robot's batteries we too low and could not gain full speed to ram his bot. We decided it was a draw! The Photographer from the Bear took several pictures of the battle, so you might see some on The Bear.
Felix drew up a cool looking MAN UP key chain. printed rather well, We gave the first one to a Lady that emailed me the Man Up logo, although we didn't really use it. Felix drew this one up on his own.
Other than the Paint ball tunnel next to us, there really wasn't much their that was "manly" I was a bit disappointed with 103.9 The Bear. There was no gun demonstrations, no fishing gear, and very few man things at he event. I'll have to drop the Bear a message about all that.
The Show turned out to be great for us however and I think we will see some new faces in the up coming meetings. SeeMeCNC should see some local action as well. I also want to make note of this event and participate again next year but I want us to be better prepared!
