Hello MakerHive. My name is Spencer Watson and I live in Elkhart. I found out about this group from checking out the sponsors of MRRF. I had no idea something like this was almost down the street.
My background is the automotive field but I have always been a tinkerer in a little of everything. I just moved back to Elkhart this year after finishing my degree in automotive technology. My hobbies include car modding and 3D printing. I sold my racecar when I moved so I am back to square one with that hobby but I also have 4 3D printers that occupy my time now. Those include a SeeMeCNC Rostock MAX v2, Airwolf 3D HD2x, gMax 1.5 xt, and a Q3D Oneup. My current project is fitting the gMax with a 18X18 heated bed.

Hey Spencer! Welcome to the group. It sounds like you'll fit right in, come out and meet us on a Thursday night sometime. Bring a project! We usually meet in Elkhart off of Johnson Street, but once in a while we'll venture to Goshen to visit the SeeMeCNC factory or the TrickLaser shop. Find us on meetup.com or facebook to check out our other upcoming events and weekend workshops.
Were you at MRRF, or just reading about it? We had 9 tables there, it was pretty awesome!
Yes I was at MRRF with my wife for a bit. It was a lot to take in. This group basically had a whole row of tables taken right? Someone in this group gets my vote of sexiest printer, I believe it said something like "Do it in yellow" on it? It reminded me of my car I just sold.
