I'm going to build a tube headphone amp soon.
It's this circuit: diyaudioprojects.com/Solid/12AU7-IRF510-LM317-Headamp/ I'll probably order the parts for my own build tonight, so sorry about the short notice, but let me know if you want a set of the parts when I place my order (should be 20-40 bucks).
In the near future I'm thinking about getting back to work on some of my old speaker cabinet projects. I'm doing a set of bookshelf 2-ways first, but I've also inherited some subwoofer drivers taht are absolutely ridiculous, so we could work on that too. If anybody's interested in designing a cabinet or how that works, let me know and I'll chronicle my build on the forum and bring in some parts on Thursdays.

My Dad dropped of a big box of crap (I do mean crap) from an old electronics store. There is some salvageable parts. I noticed a couple of them had tubs in them. You might be able to salvage those for this project.
Some things are meant to be closed. Your mind isn't one of them.

Here are some decent videos on how tube amps work. You need an understanding of basic electronic components, but most of his analogies are simple enough for anyone. This would be crude to an EE, but understandable to a beginner. Not quite water for Phil though
