Last year’s beautiful weather brought in over 3,200 children and their families who enjoyed over 40 exhibits, 6 stage performances, and ETHOS Science 2-Go Bus. Community organizations, schools and businesses continued to share their love of science with children through exciting, hands-on learning experiences, working to bring SJCPL’s mission of “Learn. Discover. Experience.” to life.
Science Alive is held on all four levels of the Main Library. Exhibitors set up on Friday or early Saturday, and stay for the entire event. We offer a hospitality room with a buffet lunch where exhibitors and volunteers can network with colleagues.
We challenge everyone to develop an exciting demonstration, display, presentation or activity for children in Kindergarten through 8th grade to help make this a memorable event in our community. Returning exhibitors, we encourage you to enhance your displays (or change them entirely) to engage our returning guests.
We plan to continue the World of Science Passport Raffle that has been such a crowd-pleaser the last three years. Children have been delighted to win prizes such as aquariums, solar-powered robots, bug catchers, telescopes, growing kits, books, backpacks, water bottles and t-shirts. Please consider donating a small “science related” prize.

Is everybody still up for this year's Science Alive? I need to confirm our RSVP sometime today, so let me know. I'll definitely be there! As long as 2 or 3 others are in, it'll be another good show.
