Any interest in having the Hive represent at the event?

HI Jim!
My name is Tony and I'm a graduate student at Notre Dame. I’m currently helping organize some of the programming for the satellite March for Science happening in South Bend on April 22nd (see information below). We have a great lineup of speakers thus far and we'd also like to showcase some of the great science outreach organizations located in the South Bend area. Because of The MakerHive's previous outreach at Science Alive, I thought I’d reach out to see if your organization was interested in hosting a science outreach table to engage with the public at the Morris Performing Arts Plaza from 3-6.
Even if your organization is unable to host an outreach table (especially this last minute), we’d love if you were able to spread the word about the march amongst your organization. Please see below for more information about the logistics of the march, and please don’t hesitate to email me if you have more questions or if your organization is interested in participating!
Thank you for your consideration!
Tony
March for Science South Bend is an official satellite March for Science advocating for nonpartisan support for science funding, science communication, and science education. The march will start at Howard Park and end at the Morris Center for Performing Arts Plaza, where we will have different types of science outreach - a few speakers talking about our mission and the importance of science, and a bunch of science outreach groups. Ideally, the outreach groups will have activities or be ready to have conversations and interact with the public that can be scaled for any age group/amount of science education. Companies are welcome to bring promotional materials as well, but we are not able to sell items outside of approved March retail during the March. Organizations tabling should plan to be at the Morris Plaza for set up between 2-3. Most of the marchers will arrive between 3-4. Speakers will go from approximately 4-5, and the entire event will end at 6.
