While I was in Detroit, I took the Ford tour at the Rouge Plant where they make the F-150 (more than 1 every minute). They had a video presentation where a white truck came up out of the floor, there were two industrial robot arms, and they projected video on it that made it look like the arms were welding the chassis together and mounting fenders and painting it. It was pretty neat.
I've seen a lot of projection mapping at trade shows, but this was the first time I'd seen it done out in the wild. It was well done.
