Here is a conversation I just had with my son on Mon.
Jermey: Mom tell you that I'm going to Certified Ethical Hacker school?? This is for my job in Hawaii when I transfer.
Me: I take it is a little more involved than DDOS attacks to bring down servers, lol Are schooling now or when you get to hawaii?
Jeremy: When I get to Hawaii. I'm going to be a red team hacker on a National Cyber Protection Team. 26 Cyber Protection Team is what I'm on. 39 man team with 4 leaders, then broken down to 5 teams(Red, Blue, Green, White, and Hunt).
We'll have a 24hr deployablity notice to go on missions. It's going to be awesome! CEH is just one school they send me to when I get there. There's an advanced networking school and then another advanced school. They told me to get familiar with the Kali program. It's a free exploitation tool.
Me: Can you say what kind of deployments a hacker would go on?
Jeremy: It would be going to sites, not sure if it will be Military sites or agencies, and inspecting. Pretty much infiltrating networks however I can. But the Cyber Protection Teams have 4 levels.
There's Navy CPTs, handling navy units/commands then DISA, not sure what exactly commands they would go to. then PACOM, which would be joint commands including all branches and/or other countries militarys. Then the National CPTs, which I'm on. We're the top level team. Not sure yet what that means, haha. Just talked to a guy at the command the other day.
Not many people know what they do at this command, it's a really new command. No one on my team has even checked in yet.
Me: So at what level will you not be able to send us emails or talk to us on facebook because you are to far into the security of the United States?
Jeremy: Pretty much when I start working there. They don't use unclass or secret networks. They operate on a higher network.

Is that the special where they talked about StuxNet and interviewed the magazine writer who had his ID stolen and deleted because of Amazon's security loophole?
