A friend from work is a potter, and she uses a Randall Electric wheel that needs a new drive roller.
It works by having the motor spin all the time, and it's hinged so that you can engage it with the base with your foot. It's probably incredibly dangerous and couldn't be sold today, but a lot of people swear by them...
Anyway, the drive wheel has had it, and she can't find a replacement. Is there a way to "re-tread" little rubber wheels, or buy a chunk of material and cut a wheel out of it? How could somebody make one instead of buy it?
