Anyone live near Toledo, Ohio? First 3 years were great. Now I’m having horrible quality issues on my Taz 6. I’ve completely replaced the tool head, no help. I’m sure it’s more than just an eStep issue, but that’s what I’ve been focusing on. My z-axis is good, extrusions seems good. I know my bed has moved as my probe setting is scratching the glass at -1.04 which is a long way from the original MFG setting of -1.50. I’m desperate to find someone local to assist, but have no problems driving a few hours. Anyone interested? (see pic for details)
Yes in Bowling Green, pretty close to Toledo. Meet with them last November. Unfortunately the recommendations I received did not produce any improvements. The Lulzbot forum and Facebook groups have been no help, and their Tech Support is not worth commenting on.
Stepper motor, is the original parts. I've measured the z-axis at different levels all good. I've had to adjust my z-axis probe setting many times recently as something has shifted horribly causing the nozzle to drag on the glass bed. Out of the box -1.50 i'm now at -1.02 that's a huge difference in height. Different heights on the prints are a problem that's why I believe my main issue is eStep related. Some of those cubs I stopped the print early because the quality was so bad, but yes no two tests will print the same height. I recently upgraded firmware to Marlin 1.9 Prior to that Lulzbot had a reset to factory setting on the main control pad. The firmware upgrade seems to have removed that option. Not sure how to roll back at this time?

E steps, especially on a motion axis, especially-especially on a leadscrew should never ever change. I would 100% revert to an unaltered version of the firmware from the manufacturer. If the probe is drifting, investigate the probe instead of the motor.
