Let's build a standardized camera payload into the specification for our printed class rockets.
Should this be a MRRF thing? Does anybody know the restrictions at the fairgrounds?
If we're using E class motors, we really will have to call the FAA Maybe we'll rig up B's or C's instead and avoid the red tape.
I have gone to the fairgrounds a number of times and flown rockets there. You don't need FAA permission for motors size G and smaller. I know that the Goshen High School rocket club did get a waiver for the fairgrounds and flew a J motor up to 2000 feet. They would go to the fairgrounds and fly anytime they wanted without having to ask anyone for special permission, but I think it would be best to check with those in charge to arrange a time to go as a group. I can check on it if you want.
I think it would be best to stay below d size motors for our first run. Let's have a build day and build the motors together. I always wanted to make my own motor but chemistry is not my strong suite.
