Glenn I have had a few "new" people try and find our location for the hive. and they are not sure once they drive around back there what building and were to go, would a flashing forklight light or something like that help people find it... since it is dark this time of year without knowing where its at i understand its hard to find.
I have to get my laser writer project father along and we can WRITE the name on the building for everyone to see......
Yes, I have been trying to think of something as well. I have considered getting a few more of those LOL shields and make a scrolling Marque sign I can put in the door. Or something like this, www.adafruit.com/products/420#Learn The LoL shields are $20 each, not including the Arduino so this might be a better option.
I also want to get a sign mad that I can put out by the road (CR 9) pointing down North Park so people just driving by will become curious.

How about using those political campaign style signs, printed up with MakerHive and a big yellow arrow. Put one at CR 9, one by the curve, one by the turnaround, and another by the door.
For night use, add a really cheap flashing yellow LED on each sign. Tell the visitors to follow the flashing yellow lights.
I think one of Eric's flashing construction beacon would work to just sit by the door that can be seen from the road, they can find the industrial park but then confused of which building and entrance.
Well no one noticed the scrolling MakerHive sign I had in the window so I guess I need it bigger and I'll have to find a way to mount it to the door with a battery pack.
