Just watched a great documentary on the motorcycle race on the isle of man.
in 2009 they tested electric motorcycles, its such a "MAKER" movement. everyone but the core of teams was against it, even other racers that considered it a joke, spectators said it could not be done. In the end most everyone was amazed at the performance and they made a class to compete during the regular TT race the following year. that first race in 2009 they averaged around 80 mph and even the race officials put a limit of 40 minutes to even qualify. well in 2011 the top speed of a electric motorcycle was 140+ and average speed of well over 100 mph.
Is that the bike that used Lithium Ion Batteries from 123 Battery company? I saw a clip about an electric bike and they said something about people laughed at them when they entered it in a race.
I don't have Netflix.... yet

Electric Motorcycle actually won the motorcycle division of the 2013 race to the top of pikes peek. Electric cars did well. Because of the elevation change traditional gas engine loose power with thinner air.
