Wonder if antifreeze would transmit light like that, I seen this a few months ago and thought it would be great for the garden shed and the shop. But was trying to figure out how to keep it from freezing.

Rubbing alcohol is what they mix with washer fluid to keep it from freezing in your car (overly simplified, of course). It's a disinfectant too, so that would keep your green lights from actually turning green
Might have to experiment in the freezer for the right mixture. My wife loves the science experiments I put on in the kitchen.

I also thought about putting one of those solar charging motion lights in the shed. The panel would keep the battery up, and the light would only turn on when I opened the door.
