Due to the overwhelming response to our class "Intro to Micro-controllers and Basic Arduino Programing" The MakerHive will hold a second class for those of you that either can't make it to the first one or were to late to grab a seat. BE sure no to miss this one!
When: Saturday, Feb 7th
Where: The MakerHive, Elkhart
Time: 1:00 pm til ?? (class time aprox 4 hours)

Introduction to Micro-controllers and Basic Arduino Programing
Learn about what a Micro-controller is and what it does. Explore the possibilities with an introduction to Basic Arduino programing and create a real working program and see it in action.
This class will include a small Lab that you can keep afterwords so please sign up for the class below so parts can be ordered and received before the class starts. Sign up by responding to this post and include what "package" you will need. Seats will only be reserved by those that have paid.
Package A Class with Lab, $45.00 I need everything so load me up!
Package B Class without Lab, $10.00 I already have everything but don't know what I am doing so just want to take the class!
Package C Spectator sports $5.00 Just want to sit and listen, but I'll help pay for the snacks!
The Lab includes (and what you will need if your are bringing your own)
1 - Sparkfun Red Board It is a better Arduino version of the UNO and breaks out all the pins. If bringing your own, any Ardunio compatible board should work.
1 - 400 point Bread board with power rails
1 - DC motor
1 - DC Servo (Not important to bring as this is more advanced programing, time permitting, but included in kit)
1 - Mini Photocell (kit includes 2)
1 - 10K Trimpot (kit includes 2)
Some 10K Ohm resistors, Kit includes 12
Some 330 Ohm resistors, Kit includes 12
5 - 1N4148 Diodes
2 - LEDs any color, best if two different colors. (Kit includes 2 Red, 2 Blue, 2 Yellow, 2 Green)
2 - Micro push buttons
1 - USB type A to mini B cable.
Jumper wires
You will need to bring:
A Laptop with the Arduino IDE installed, Download it here.
How to pay,
Bring Cash to the Maker meetings (preferred) or you can click the "DONATE" Button and donate the appropriate amount to the MakerHive.
Anyone is welcome to the class so spread the word!
