My printer is up and printing. I have made 3 completed parts so far. Those completed parts came after 5 failures. But I learned 3 different things from my mistakes. First mistake was the spring on the extruder was too weak. It didn't pinch the filament hard enough and it caused the filament to slip and not feed enough filament. The second mistake was I left the PTFE liner out of the E3D Lite6 hotend and the filament melted in the cool half of the hotend and plugged it up, so it stopped printing. The third mistake was I allowed the heated bed to cool off to the point the part came loose and moved. I think that I need to make several more changes to my printer. I don't like the relay for the heated bed, it is noisy and stitches on and off too often and may not last very long if it has to switch that often. I removed my cooling fan for the printed part and will need to mount it in a different place. And I want to add some white LED's to illuminate the printed part while printing. Here are some photos of my mistakes. The first print is very thready with not enough filament coming out of the extruder, spring too weak causing slippage. Then the extruder clogged and quit printing because I left out the PTFE liner, I thought that it was a bowden tube. I will add an additional photo of the assembled parts.

First photo are the three parts that I printed Second photo has the parts joined together Third photo shows the radio tracking beacon that is part of this assembly that I need to make some type of print to mount this onto.
Fantastic Larry! Great job. You thought I was full of shit when I said "Now you have a whole new set set up problems to deal with when you start printing" huh?

Yeah, and when I finally printed my first few parts, I thought that I got it now. So I started a print and took the dog for a walk. When I got home the part was all messed up. It had let go and moved around. Then I sat watching it again and messed a part up again, my fault, I changed some settings. Now I am printing again and typing this message, so I am not really watching it that close. It is still printing fine.
