Yes, I got some of those igus rod ends nearly 2 years ago. They do not have enough range of motion for a RMAX size printer. Even spacing them out like DC42 did.
Soon I will have my custom ball-cup ends tested enough to go forward with investing in a injection mold. I will have some tapped steel balls from china in a week or so. I got the ship confirmation Monday. My rods ends are basically a drop in replacement for the Traxxas ends already on our CF arms. The ends have tab with hole for holding arm pairs with springs. I will sell as replacement ends for sets people already have. We will start building new arms with them also.
I have a few extra 3D printed prototype sets if somebody wants to beta test them?
