MAX Metal wire harness and Rostock HE280 Hot End

I ordered the SeeMeCNC's new HE280 Hot End w/ accelerometer PROBE kit as an upgrade to my Rostock Max V2 and am planning out my wiring for the new accelerometer board. Could I use the MAX Metal wire harness you offer to replace the stock hot end wiring on my V2 and be able to connect the hot end? Or would I need to use the wire harness in conjunction with the stock wiring? Can I simply use just 1 tower's wire bundle in this set up?

Yes, the MAX metal wire harness would have all you need to connect to the New Hotend w/Accelerometer. There is an option to purchase the connector with it as well, if needed.

I can provide instructions on how to make the connections if needed.

Either way - You only need Eight. You will have extras with the Max Metal harness.

My Max Metal wiring harness arrived today, along with my new HE280 hot end. Cannot wait to get to assembling everything.

So, I got a good look at the wire harness and am wondering. Can I/do I split the X & Y tower cables up for what I want to use them for? Also, it appears as if all wires are 26awg, how do I get the 18awg recommended for the hot end?

You can use them for what ever your want - the labels I put on are for reference.

The wires are 22awg, so for your hot end wires there are two for the Positive and 2 for the negative. If you use the YellowJacket hot end plug in board, there are 3 pins for the hot end positive (you only need to use 2) and 2 pins for the neg. Simply pin each wire into the appropriate slot. If I am not mistaken, Red and Yellow would pin into position 1 and 2, and the black and brown hotend neg would pin into positions 4 and 5 (double check that).

If however you are using the new SeeMeCNC effector plate with the Accelerometer, then you simply combine the hotend pos and plug them both into the appropriate position on the 8 pin pluggable connector, So combine red and yellow into position 2 and black/brown into position 3. (again double check me)

btw, two 22awg wire combined is equivalent to one 18awg wire.

My plan is to use the new stock SeeMeCNC hot end w/ accelerator board. I have the yellow jacket quick connect board, but never installed it.
