They all look the same, but they have different drawer combinations. The club has some of the money saved up, but if anyone wants to chip in to get it sooner, let me know. Or if you don't like the idea let me know that too.
What drawer sizes do you think is best? Option A includes: 96 drawers - 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" 64 drawers - 5 5/16" x 2 1/4" 32 drawers - 11" x 2 1/4"
Or Option B includes: 240 drawers - 2" x 1 3/8" 96 drawers - 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" 64 drawers - 5 5/16" x 2 1/4"
Or Option C includes: 240 drawers - 2" x 1 3/8" 96 drawers - 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" 32 drawers - 11" x 2 1/4"
Or Option D, Save the money for CNC up-fit on the mill.

I like the idea. My first thought was: Is wall space at a premium? I've always preferred lots of bins along a long chunk of wall, all at roughly eye level.
The inexpensive Stack-on and other wall mount bins would allow growth beyond a single rack of space, and you could buy units based on specific needs.

Yeah, I stared doing that and as you see we have a few cabinets of odd sizes. The issue I have with that is time in between purchases, the same cabinet is no longer available and we end up with a hodg-podge of drawer cabinets. The other issue I have is hanging them over a work bench. No matter what I do, the drawer I need to open is almost certain to be behind my current project or something that must be moved before I can pull the drawer out. Things always seem to get stacked in front of them. Only way around that is to dedicate a wall to just bins and not put any work benches near it. To me that is a waste of a wall. Or if we hang the bins too high above the bench, it is hard for us short Mo-Fo's to see what is in the drawer. LOL
I have also considered building the cab myself and simply buying the drawers to go in it, which might still happen. Either way I am open to suggestions on how to get organized and get everything in one place.
I have a drawer design for the laser for my electronics so it might migrate.

Hm. Would something like my french cleat hangers work? That makes the boxes movable pretty easily.
I think there are some manufacturers who keep more consistent sizing, but their pricing is higher. The Quantum tip out clear storage boxes (https://www.amazon.com/Quantum-QTB309-2-Inch-8-Inch-System/dp/B002081T96) were what I was considering when I started to ponder this route.
Maybe we can do a French cleat style hanger with bearings on the cabinet. If we have rails the length of the wall we can roll the cabinets down the wall, but I would rather not have to mover them at all.

Yeah, I have made a few smaller ones just like that, similar to what I did here, www.instructables.com/id/Plano-3650-Series-Storage-Box-Caddie/ using the Stanly case just like these ($12 vs $9 and better quality). But, lets think for a min, even is I only do 2 rows of 15, that is 30 case * 8.99 = 269.70 plus 7% sales tax = 288.58 (his is 34 small cases). Wood for the cab don't just grow on trees .... well it does, but ... I prefer angle alum like in my indestructible as opposed to making a full shelf, good quality plywood, we can easily add another $60.00 for a total of 348.58 and lets not forget TIME to build it. I have about 10 of these bins now, all full so 30 will be easy to fill and soon we would need another set, assuming the will still be available at that time, 348.58 * 2 = $697.16
If it is somthing I am going to build than I will use cheap bins, something like this. www.globalindustrial.com/p/storage/bins-totes-containers/stacking-bins/global-stacking-bin-4-1-8x4-1-2x3-yellow 5 of those would equal about the same cubic in of storage, which is only about $2. Which is what I am thinking of doing now. The bin does not need to be that deep, so if I build a rack to put on the wall between the door to the frig and the corner, where no counter space will be, I could line that whole wall with bins. This way I could buy all the bins and once and not worry about if they are available 2 years from now. THe biggest problem I have with open bins is they get full of dust.

I like the closed bins for the same reason you said, Dust. Plus if you have to grab a bin or 2 they are already in a closed secure state and aren't at risk of things falling out.
