Anyone have a extra heater cartridge and screw in thermistor, I burnt out 2 sets of resistors on the Orion this month and want to upgrade to the cartridge and thermistor.
How did you burn out two sets of resistors? Are you running to hot? I'm not sure what you mean by a Screw in terminator, you mean Thermistor? I think I still have some M3 and 4-40 Stand off's I could make one.

Some things are meant to be closed. Your mind isn't one of them.
I think the screw in thermistor is just a regular thermistor jb welded into a 3mm standoff, this is what you were thinking glen? if so I can use a stock thermistor and make it a screw in so the possibility of it coming out would be eliminated.

yep, just jb weld into a m3 standoff. insulate leads with small ptfe tube when gluing in also. use the 'original' jb weld NOT the quick set version, it does not have high enough heat rating.
did you check resistance? maybe the crimp connector is not making good contact? resistor itself may still be OK, anyway I would still use a heater cartridge.
