I'd get a model B - more RAM than the model A and same specs minus the extra USB ports as the model B+. I bought mine through Newark/MCM, but their shipping is outrageous. Amazon's got them now for $36.68 - RASPBERRY PI MODEL B 756-8308 Raspberry Pi B www.amazon.com/dp/B009SQQF9C/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_AENbub0SGX943
Hardware eventually fails. Software eventually works.
You want to use a Pi for your printer? What happened to the Smoothie board?
still has the smoothie board as the "brains" to run printer. the pi just does the print server function in a web browser ( octoprint) do what repetier host does.

I bought mine from MCMElectronics.com Ships from Dayton Ohio and is usually here next day. They sell some sets and packages that ought to have what you need. Cases, power supplies, cameras, etc.
I use the $25 camera module and it works pretty well. The nice thing is that anything written for the Pi that uses a camera should work with it, so it's got that going for it. That kit looks like a good value - you'd use most of it for a basic setup and have the breadboard, wires and USB TTL cable for other projects or with the Pi.
