Very similar design to the Printrbot Simple. I like the cog driven y-axis, though you'd need a pretty good printer to start with to get good tolerance on those parts.

yes, it is similar to pbs I don't think it would be that hard to print the rack and pinion. Printing with a Rostock should be fine. Or, they have a earlier version that uses fishing line drive, which does a decent job... use that to print your own upgraded rack drive!
